SESSER, Ill. (WSIL) -- Sesser Fire Chief Michael Rasnic has passed away, leaving the community in mourning.

The Sesser Fire Protection District said Rasnic died at his home on the evening of August 14.

Details for his services are still pending.

The department asks the community to keep Rasnic's family and all department members in their thoughts during this difficult time.
