Former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions operated a rule-breaking advanced scouting scheme, encouraged others around him to destroy evidence and lie to investigators, andproved difficult to deal with.
The 58-page report issued Friday by the NCAA helped paint a picture of Stalions’ sign-stealing scheme from 2021 to 2023, the focal point of a nearly two-year investigation that ended with Michigan receiving a hefty fine , its head coach suspended for three games , and several of the major figures receiving show-cause penalties.
“In short, Stalions’ multiple and repeated failures to cooperate are some of the worst the COI (Committee on Infractions) has ever seen,” according to the report.
