BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - An Eastern Carolina community college is on the shortlist for a national award.

Beaufort County Community College has been named a finalist for the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship’s 2025 Entrepreneurial College of the Year Award.

We’re told the award honors colleges that embody the spirit of entrepreneurship through measurable results in student achievement, community impact, and active participation in NACCE initiatives.

BCCC says that the the work of Small Business Center director Jack Dugan and program assistant Katelyn Thomas are being recognized.
