PORTLAND, Ore. — Firefighters responded to a second-alarm fire Friday afternoon at a business building near the intersection of North Lombard Street and North Burrage Avenue.
The fire broke out Friday at around 12:21 p.m. in the attic of a building housing a Walgreens and other businesses with shared walls, according to Portland Fire & Rescue. A second-alarm was called to bring in additional resources due to multiple businesses being in the same building.
Crews working on the roof reported seeing brown smoke being pushed out under pressure and requested that the ceiling be removed from below. Firefighters also checked a nearby office space for any fire activity.
