A special judge has pushed back the trial for the man who allegedly intentionally crashed into the Dickinson Juvenile Justice Center on Mother’s Day.
Jacob Christopher Dhondt, 39, of Franklin, is charged with criminal recklessness as a Level 6 felony and institutional mischief as a Level 5 felony. He also faces a Level 2 felony charge of dealing methamphetamine from Shelby County, court records show.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Mother’s Day morning, Dhondt reportedly took out his anger at the Johnson County court system on the entryway doors of the juvenile justice center. The center is open 24/7, and both county employees and juveniles were at the center during the incident, but none were harmed.
A field officer with the justice center was in the parking lot at the time of the incident
