DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin Department of Justice released the names of those involved in the shooting death of a man at a boat launch last month.

Officers from multiple departments shot and killed a person at a boat launch in De Pere back on July 26. That person was identified Friday as Scott H. McDonald, who was 44 years old.

The DOJ says officers received a call just before 1 a.m. that there was a person armed with a rifle at the Perkofski Boat Launch.

Officers from the De Pere Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety, and deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded and started negotiating with McDonald. Shortly after, the DOJ said McDonald produced a rifle.
