WINDHAM, Maine (WMTW) - Maine authorities have issued a shelter in place order for parts of Windham and Raymond after a shooting happened Friday afternoon on Route 302 in North Windham.

Our media partner WMTW reports that State police said the shooting happened at about 1:55 p.m.

Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce earlier confirmed to Maine’s Total Coverage that law enforcement officers had responded to a report of a shooting in North Windham.

The Cumberland County Regional Communications Center announced shortly after 2:20 p.m. that Route 302 will be shut down at the intersection of Landing Road for an extended period of time due to a police incident.
