ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Deputies are asking drivers to avoid one area of Onslow County following a fatal multi-car crash.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office says that the “severe multi-car collision” happened on Gum Branch Road near Peewee Murphy Lane.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office says that the crash involves a fatality and that the Highway Patrol is investigating.

Drivers are asked to use Cow Horn Road and Francktown Road to avoid the area.
