ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two young girls were shot during a road rage incident in East Point on Friday morning, according to police.
Officers were called to the BP off Main Street at around 8:30 a.m. A detective said the 8-year-old and 13-year-old were taken to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing.
“There was contact made between both vehicles and the following vehicle is the aggressor in the incident so we’re still working our investigative leads on that to locate that vehicle,” Lt. Christapher Butler with Atlanta Police said.
Investigators focused on a red Toyota SUV, which had at least one bullet hole in the back.
According to officers, the shooting happened on Langford Parkway following a minor traffic accident.
