LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the car that they believe was involved in Monday’s hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist.

The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. on Monday, August 11, at the intersection of Chamberlain Lane and Chamberlain Court, when a car drove into the intersection and hit 27-year-old Blair A. Sawyer, who was riding his bike.

The driver did not stop after hitting Sawyer and left the scene. Sawyer later passed away at UofL Hospital due to his injuries.

On Friday, August 15, LMPD stated that they believe the vehicle involved was a black or dark gray Ford Taurus, with a model year between 2013 and 2019. The car is believed to have damage to its radiator, cooling fan and left headlight.
