Randee Jones, 46, of Emporia, was arrested Thursday afternoon, for allegedly embezzling over $100,000 from Mel’s Tires during her time as an employee.

Jones faces one count of Felony Theft, Value $25,000 to $100,000 and one count of Identity Theft, Misrepresent to Cause Economic Harm. According to the Emporia Police Department, the alleged embezzlement took place when she was employed at Mel’s Tires between October 2021 and October 2024.

Formal charges are currently pending review by the Lyon County Attorney’s Office. The investigation is currently ongoing.
