PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - It’s an exciting weekend in Pulaski County as the American Jet Sport Association returns to Claytor Lake , but first, the local leaders are breaking in the wake.

Pulaski County officials, staff members, law enforcement officers and more took a break from the office Friday to jet ski race on Claytor Lake. It’s a day of fun and supporting the community members they serve.

These hometown representatives work together on a daily basis to bring the best to their residents, but Friday, it was all about competing against each other.

“I’m looking forward to beating the Sheriff’s Department, I’m looking forward to beating Camrett Logistics,” said County Administrator Jonathan Sweet.

The seasoned racer said it’s more than fast-paced racing; it’s fellowship.
