EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Not the usual sight on the Ohio river today.

Michael and his dog Ollie are on jet skiing adventure to raise money for no kill animal shelters, while cleaning up the river along the way.

Today they made a stop in Newburgh.

They’re traveling 510 miles on a jet ski from Cincinnati Ohio down the Ohio river to Cairo Illinois, hoping to collect $5 million for thousands of animal shelters nationwide.

Michael says they have cleaned up about 3,200 pounds of trash off rivers and bays.
