The state’s second largest health insurer, Point32Health, reported an operating loss of $96 million in the first six months of 2025. The health plan said the losses were driven by high pharmaceutical and medical spending.

In all of 2024, the parent of Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan and Tufts Health Plan, had operational losses of $382 million.
