NELSON COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Now that students are back in school across the region, law enforcement agencies are reminding drivers about the rules for stopping for a school bus.

In Virginia, when a school bus has its red lights flashing and its stop sign/stop arm extended, drivers on both sides of a two-lane road are required to stop.
