SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Friday starts off warmer, calmer, and sunnier as drier air moves in from the north.
Skies will be clear across the region, with valley highs reaching the mid to upper 90s. Foothill temperatures will top out in the low 90s, while the Sierra enjoys another pleasant day with highs in the low 80s. A few brief showers may develop southeast of Tahoe this afternoon.
Another disturbance will move through the region over the weekend, bringing back the Delta breeze. Highs will drop to the upper 80s in the valley on Saturday and the mid-80s on Sunday. Onshore breezes will be noticeable each afternoon and linger into the evening.
Beyond the weekend, the low will lift away and high pressure will build in from the east, starting a strong warming trend that will push valley highs
