FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A couple of weeks ago, 23-year-old Carson Grover was hit while riding his bike to the Chestnut Plaza McDonald’s, resulting in a 12-day stay at the hospital to heal.
He is known in the community as being ‘The Toy Guy’. When you get to his window, at the register, he has quite the assortment of antique toys.
“I just like collecting things, and it’s fun for me, and I just like collecting anything I can find,” says Carson.
Carson began working at McDonald’s six years ago, and says it’s become his happy place.
“McDonald’s has been my place where I like to order a lot of food, they have the Happy Meal, you know?” asked Carson.
Laron Grover, Carson’s dad, says Carson suffered some brain damage and a fracture in his skull from the crash, and he stayed stuck in bed fo
