ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. ( WSFA ) - An officer at Staton Correctional Facility has been arrested on contraband charges, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Correctional Sergeant Delano Dailey was arrested after an investigation into contraband found at the facility.

Dailey was taken to the Elmore County Jail and charged with first and second degree promoting prison contraband.

ADOC did not provide any other details on the investigation but did confirm he is no longer employed with the department.

He has since been released from the jail.
