PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A gas leak early Saturday morning has led to a road closure at the intersection of Greenville Blvd and Red Banks Road.

Greenville police are warning residents to avoid the intersection after construction around midnight led to a gas leak.

Greenville police report that first responders are on the scene as utility crew members work to fix the leak.

There is no estimated time for when the road will reopen.
