A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Friday afternoon in Bergen County, officials said.
The person, identified only as an adult man, was hit just west of the New Bridge Landing Station in River Edge at 4:10 p.m. by a Pascack Valley Line train, an NJ Transit spokesperson told NJ Advance Media.
None of the 110 customers or crew aboard the train were injured, the spokesperson said.
Rail service on the Pascack Valley Line in the area was suspended in both directions as of 4:30 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
No other information was released Friday afternoon as the incident was still under investigation by the NJ Transit Police.
