Patricia Clark, 66, of Nimishillen Township was driving to the post office to mail Christmas cards in December 2008 when she was killed by a drunken driver.
The impaired driver who killed Clark served six years in prison and was released from probation in 2018.
CANTON − For more than 16 years, Kelli Ooten has shared her story about how a drunken driver ran a stop sign in 2008 and killed her mother, a cancer survivor.
Ooten once again addressed a room on Aug. 15 filled with emergency first responders at the Stark County Sheriff's office. They gathered for a ceremony to honor the memory of Ooten's 66-year-old mother, Virginia Clark, and to highlight the campaign against drunken driving.
Clark, who lived in Nimishillen Township, had spent more than a year battling cancer. After several ro
