EL DORADO -- Tom Dixon, 40, brakeman for the Rock Island Railroad, was believed fatally stabbed by a man named Henderson, a Missouri Pacific employee, in an alleged drunken brawl 200 feet from the new Missouri Pacific station here early this morning, according to city police. Dixon is in a local hospital with knife wounds in the back and chest, and has slight chances of recovery. Police were not informed of the cutting affray until late tonight, although Dixon was admitted to the hospital early in the day. Railroad officials refused to confirm reports of the wounding of Dixon, and police have accused fellow railroad workers of attempting to shield both men from criminal investigation.
