DECATUR, Ill (WAND) - Good morning and happy Saturday! Excessive heat continues this weekend, which means scorching temepratures for the last weekend of the State Fair.

We remain under the heat dome, so highs today will top off in the mid 90s. Direct sunshine and humidity will leave us feeling like low 100s by the afternoon. An area wide Heat Advisory is in effect for today highlighting this dangerous heat.

This set up will allow for an isolated thunderstorms to pop-up and roll through by this evening. However, we have more showers and thunderstorms planning to graze the region overnight and into tomorrow morning. A few of those storms may even be strong to severe, with heavy downpours and gusty winds possible.
