POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- A man was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri on Thursday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened on August 14, at 8:35 p.m., along US 67, roughly four miles north of Poplar Bluff.

State police said a 23-year-old man from Greenville was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram going south when the vehicle hit a MoDOT Chevron sign and then hit a tree.

The driver was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment of serious injuries.
