Unfortunately, it's going to be a tough stretch of weather with conditions that are definitely not normal for us.

We're looking at prolonged heat that's going to build through the weekend and right into early next week. We're talking about temperatures soaring day after day into the mid to upper 90s, but the real story is the heat index, or what it feels like. We expect those values to approach or even exceed the triple digits starting this weekend and lasting through at least Tuesday.

Because of this dangerous and persistent heat, a Heat Advisory has been issued for our entire region, covering us from this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.
