(KFVS) - Get ready for a very hot weekend!

Meghan Smith says a trend of dangerous summer weather continues Saturday and Sunday, and into early next week.

For today, highs will reach the mid to upper 90s, but the humidity will make it feel even hotter.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire Heartland through Tuesday afternoon. Heat index values will be in the triple digits each afternoon.

If you plan on spending time outdoors, make sure to stay hydrated, avoid peak afternoon heat and wear proper clothing.
