JASPER, Ind. (WFIE) - We’re about a month away from Archaeology Day, and the Dubois County Museum has a few special things planned for it.
The museum says at 10:30 a.m. on September 13, Professor Michael Strezewski will be there to give a presentation on archaeological Hoosier history.
Strezewski, a professor of Anthropology at the University of Southern Indiana, will share his knowledge of “The Dry Goods Store: A Bit of Civilization on Indiana’s Frontier”.
Organizers say after the presentation, local collector Derrick Haas will be on hand until noon to share his knowledge of arrowheads, spear points and tools.
The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
