The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will reopen Saturday following multiple days of technical issues.

The tram will operate from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, and the last tram down will be at 10:30 p.m. Tram cars will depart at least every 30 minutes.

The closure was first reported Aug. 8 due to unforeseen issues in its electronic system.

Officials said Monday a motor contactor that supplies power from the tram drive to the tram motor was at fault, and a replacement part was ordered.
