TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida A&M University is again considering increasing out-of-state tuition fees for the first time since 2013, according to a Friday press release from the university.
The Board of Trustees from FAMU and FSU met last month to consider the tuition increase for the upcoming fall term, per the universities’ Board of Trustees’ meeting agendas. FSU decided to increase the out-of-state fees while FAMU postponed its decision.
“FAMU opted to postpone implementation in Fall 2025, giving families more time to plan for a 15 % increase in Fall 2026,“ said the press release.
The fee increase was made possible after the Florida Board of Governors allowed universities to raise out-of-state fees.
