The National Weather Service issued a report at 3:46 p.m. on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 4:15 p.m. for Orange County.

The storms are packing pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

"At 3:45 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Middletown, moving east at 10 mph," states the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible."

Locations impacted by the alert include Warwick, Goshen, Chester, Florida, Westtown, Slate Hill, Pine Island and New Hampton.
