A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 4:57 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:30 p.m. for Dutchess County.

Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 50 mph.

"At 4:57 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Pleasant Valley, or 7 miles northeast of Poughkeepsie, moving southeast at 10 mph," states the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects."

Locations impacted by the alert include Pleasant Valley, Millbrook, Red Oaks Mill, Salt Point, Freedom Plains, Hoxie Corner, Millbrook Heights, Haviland, Billings, Shunpike, Timothy Heights, Washington Hollow, Mabbettsville, Verbank, Verbank Village, Colonial Heights, Clinton Corners, Littlerest, Macdonnell Heights and Moores Mill.
