MENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A member of the St. Joseph County Transportation Authority died in a crash on Friday afternoon, deputies say.
It happened around 1:51 p.m. near M-60 and M-66 in Mendon Township, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
A 36-year-old woman was driving a county transportation van when she ran a stop sign while a semi-truck was traveling east, deputies said.
Authorities arrived shortly after and located the woman, who died at the scene.
The sheriff’s office says that alcohol or speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
