GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Grandville Police Department says it is investigating a physical assault that happened at RiverTown Crossings Mall on Saturday afternoon.

Officers say that GPD was dispatched to the mall at around 2:27 p.m. after reports of a fight that was in progress.

According to the police department, multiple calls were made to Kent County Dispatch regarding the incident, with one caller mentioning a firearm.

GPD, Wyoming Police Department, Kent County Sheriff’s Office and Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly after.

The police department says they determined that the fight was “entirely physical” and that no guns were involved after authorities took interviews with the people and involved and bystanders at the mall.
