GILBERT, Ariz — Several vehicles were involved in a crash in Gilbert Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The Gilbert Police Department said the crash happened around 9 a.m. on Elliot Road just east of Val Vista.
Four vehicles, all with adults, were involved in the crash.
One man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police said the man was driving east on Elliot Road when he approached the Powerline Trail crossing. Several vehicles were yielding to a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The driver "failed to control his speed, colliding with those vehicles."
Police said no pedestrians were injured in the crash.
All the drivers involved remained at the scene.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
