A man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in West York Friday night, according to news reports.

At 8:17 p.m., police received a shots fired call on the first block of South Highland Avenue, York County Office of Emergency Management spokesperson Ted Czech said.

The two victims were shot while meeting with an unknown number of people in the street near the Carriage Works Apartments, West York Borough Police Chief Matt Millsaps told the York Dispatch .

The two men who were shot were both in their early 20s, the story said. Both were taken to WellSpan York Hospital.

The victim who survived was seriously injured but is in stable condition as of Saturday, according to Millsaps.
