KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Legacy Parks Foundation and Keep Knoxville Beautiful partnered for a big volunteer effort centered around a new park that opened May 2025.

“I think we have about 50 volunteers out here helping us un-plant some trees, plant some new trees, really help with the landscaping of sort of phase two of this park,” Carol Evans with Legacy Parks Foundation said.

Tennessee is known as the Volunteer State for a reason. When opportunities like this arise, community members drop what they are doing and go spend a hot Saturday morning in August giving back.
