ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Helping families in St. Louis put food on the table was the goal of Saturday’s Shop Out Hunger event benefitting Operation Food Search.

This was the 15th annual event, gathering food donations at Schnucks, Dierbergs and Straub’s locations.

On Saturday, members from Operation Food Search were in stores... including this Dierbergs in Crestwood. Shoppers were encouraged to grab extra items while grocery shopping and donate them after checkout.

The goal is to raise 75,000 pounds of food.

If you didn’t make it out on Saturday, Schnucks locations will continue to accept donations through the end of this month.
