MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Mt. Juliet authorities took two people into custody overnight after drugs were allegedly thrown out of a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 40.
According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers initiated the stop on the vehicle, which was heading east on I-40, for driving unsafely and failing to stay in its lane.
Law enforcement reportedly saw the passenger throw multiple bags containing fentanyl and methamphetamine out of the vehicle. When they searched the vehicle, police said they found more fentanyl, meth, suboxone strips, marijuana, additional drug paraphernalia and a scale. • (Courtesy: Mt.
