US President Donald Trump expressed during a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, and several european leaders his intention to hold a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Ukrainian president on August 22, reported the Axios portal, cited by Sputnik.

According to the outlet, Trump told European leaders after the summit in Alaska that he wants to organize the meeting in the coming days.
