SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Members of the Sergeant Floyd Honor Guard are taking Siouxlanders on a journey back in time, this weekend.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, the group put on a ‘living-history’ encampment on the grounds of the Sergeant Floyd Memorial Museum, here in Sioux City.
The encampment aims to reenact the 1804 Lewis and Clark expedition that famously made a stop in this area.
Those working the event are dressed as they would be during the early 19th century, they also had interactive events and demonstrated how to work tools from that era.
The event will continue on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
