A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 5:35 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 6 p.m. for Bergen County.

The storms are anticipated to bring pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

“At 5:35 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Monsey, moving southeast at 15 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.”
