ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police are investigating after a woman was found shot and killed in a north St. Louis County house on Saturday.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers with the City of Northwood Police Department responded to the 4400 block of Begg Boulevard in Northwoods at around 12:50 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call from a citizen. At the home, officers found a woman with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northwoods police requested help from the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, who have taken over the investigation.

Police say no suspects are in custody and the investigation is active.
