CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Sunday morning in northeast Charlotte.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Lambeth Drive, just off North Tryon Street, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

According to police, when they arrived, they found a man who had been shot inside of a home. They rushed him to the hospital, where he died.

Investigators could be seen gathering evidence near the home.

WBTV is working to learn what led up to the shooting and whether any arrests have been made.
