OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning, Kalamazoo County Sheriff's report.
Around 3:20 a.m., Officers were dispatched near Stadium Drive and S Main Street in Oshtemo Township for a vehicle that ran into a traffic pole and caught on fire.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a nineteen-year-old from Paw Paw and a seventeen-year-old from Kalamazoo who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon investigation, it is believed that the vehicle lost control near the intersection, which caused it to go off the road and into a pole, where it caught fire.
Speed is believed to be a factor. Unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
The incident is still under investigation.
