SAGINAW, Mich. — Five people were hospitalized following a shooting in Saginaw Saturday evening.
That's according to Michigan State Police , who said the shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. in the area of Perkins St. and 23rd.
Saginaw Major Case Unit detectives believe shots rang out during a large gathering in the street.
Responding officers found one victim lying in the street with gunshot wounds, and the person had also been hit by a car. That person was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Four additional victims showed up at a nearby emergency room with gunshot wounds. Those four had non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in good condition.
