NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - As part of the countdown to kickoff for University of Tennessee football, WSMV spending the month of August profiling 30 UT football players in ‘30 Days 30 Vols’ . The segments air on WSMV’s 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

University of Tennessee slot receiver Braylon Staley is #14 on the countdown.

This talented pass catcher played in four games and earned a red shirt during his true freshman season in 2024. Staley ready now to make a major impact in 25 at slot receiver.

He may come from South Carolina, but Staley said his family is happy to be wearing Tennessee orange.

“They love it. They love it. They love it, man, my parents, they love this, like this whole building, like all coaches,” he said.
