Forest City school principals updated the board of education on the start of a new school years last Monday night.

Baker thanked custodial staff for their extraordinary work amidst the FCHS site improvement project. He said they’ve done a nice job of mitigating dirt and dust in the building.

Of new student registration, Baker said “it’s been nice to meet some of the new families and kids. It’s also nice to see some of the faculty as they step back into the rooms for this upcoming week. I think we’re ready to go.”

Middle School Principal Sarah Leichsenring called attention to the school’s new choir room and choir space as well as new bathroom sinks. She also noted several teaching/staff changes for the upcoming year, adding that none of them are entirely new because they’
