Law enforcement officers were shot in Tremonton, Utah, as they responded to an incident, according to local media.
The officers involved are from the Tremonton Police Department and Box Elder County Sheriff's Office, KUTV reported.
The conditions of the officers involved are unconfirmed. Authorities have not so far issued public statements on the incident.
Newsweek has contacted city and police officials from the Tremonton Police Department and Box Elder County for comment.
Tremonton Mayor Lyle Holmgren posted a statement to Facebook that was later deleted saying two of the officers involved had died.
KSL TV reporter Alex Cabrero later posted to X that he had subsequently spoken with the mayor, who said he could not confirm anything because the scene was active.
