The Lexington City Council is scheduled to consider two economic-incentive packages for companies that are pledging a combined 156 jobs and $51 million in capital investments.

Council will conduct public hearings on the packages at 6 p.m. Aug. 25 at 200 N. State St.

The largest of the two incentive packages is for a company identified at “Project Blue Thunder.”

The company said it would create at least 108 full-time jobs and spend at least $25.25 million on capital investments, both over three years.

Although council’s legal notice did not provide an average annual wage commitment, those wages would exceed the Davidson County annual average of $45,803.

In return, council would make the company eligible for up to $150,000 in performance-based incentives.
