Rep. Andy Ogles claimed in a recent post that Democrats have “stolen their way to power” through gerrymandering, sharing a graphic that listed several states where Republicans receive significant portions of the vote but hold no congressional seats.

The image accused Democrats of rigging the system, suggesting that GOP voters in states like Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Mexico are shut out of representation in Congress despite sizable support.

However, a Community Note quickly flagged the post as misleading. While some states’ maps may be debated in terms of partisan gerrymandering, others on Ogles’ list—such as Delaware and Vermont—cannot be gerrymandered at all.
